Learning

Each class at Cat and Chat is about active learning. We study English, focusing on speaking and reading, while covering all areas of study. We start by free-talking for the first part of class, and then usually have a discussion based on a story. Our curriculum supplements what students are learning at their local elementary schools. Journeys is an American textbook which features short stories, grammar points, and various activities for students to practice their English.

Usborne Reading

Usborne Reading is a series of books to help students learn English. We read and discuss each story in class.

I Can Read

I Can Read is a series of books which we have been using so far at the beginner's level. Students learn vocabulary from each story and use it to grow their English skills.

Active English Discussion

Active English Discussion covers various topics and can be used in both elementary and high school classrooms. Students will learn vocabulary and take part in debates and role plays as well.
